FEBRUARY 14, 2021

We moved to the north shore of New Orleans, Louisiana two years ago. Our first year was incredible. We were able to enjoy the culture, the restaurants, Mardi Gras, making new friends, and lazily browsed through some amazing local shops that had so much to offer.

The pandemic hit, and we fiercely tried to protect our little family from Covid-19. After almost a year of avoiding it I felt sick and got a test. Then the phone call came and the voice on the other end of the line said, "You're Positive."

We have gotten through the illness and are on the up and up. I feel so lucky our family is back to health! We were fortunate to have made some amazing friends here to cheer us up and on when we were sick. It's so good to have people who you know you can count on especially when family is not close by!

Prior to the pandemic we had so many experiences of fun and festivities. It was hard putting things on hold for so long. But, our local shops, restaurants and the beauty of New Orleans never failed us with delivery features and historical architecture.

Something we get into every year is having photos taken of our foursome! Family photos are a great way to treat yourself to something special that creates a beautiful memory, a welcomed greeting, makes an awesome gift when added to home decor, and it is a wonderful reminder of the places you've lived. I know for me these photos are so important since we have moved a lot during my husband's career. Family Photos are little keepsakes that are a perfect way to cherish the years.

“I love using Shutterfly and Tiny Prints for homemade ornaments, canvases and coffee table books.”

Shutterfly #shutterfly and Tiny Prints #tinyprints have been a staple in the Veltri household for years now. I have added photos to their Christmas Script Glitter Ornaments for years and love adding a pretty, peachy, velvet ribbon from @sugarpaperla #sugarpaperla at Target for a special touch. They Peach is currently out of stock, but they have a stunning blue and other color which I often use.

This year I bought three of the sweetest, little ornament frames from Crate and Barrel @crateandbarrel #crateandbarrel called the Silver Pearl Frame 2020 Ornament. It is on clearance now and is a great buy if you have a special memory you want to add to your collection of Christmas merriments! I added the tiny proof print photo that came with our #tinyprints Lady Jae Designs holiday cards. I cannot throw away the mini photos and save them every year! This year I thought it was so pretty with the pink that I wanted to put it to good use. It fit into the little ornaments perfectly! I'm so glad I found a way to use it!

My dress was an absolute amazing buy from @chicwish #chicwish. I kept seeing it advertised on Facebook and couldn't get it out of my mind. A friend once told me, "If you can't stop thinking about it, then you definitely need it!" :) It's the Cotton Candy Sheer Maxi Dress in Cream. It was a steal at $62.90! It was the perfect, neutral dress for a family classic!

I paired the dress with my Katie Embellished Sandals from @lillypulitzer #lillypulitzer. If you want some added sparkle with a comfy wedge heel, then these are the shoes for you girl! They have just the right amount of height and are so comfortable you could probably do a jaunt under the oak trees if you felt like doing so! :). I know I never know where I'll end up with my boys especially getting everyone in place for a family photo!

I am truly looking forward to next holiday season when we can all safely celebrate with all of the bells and whistles. Cheers to a happy and healthy 2021!
