The holidays are the perfect time of year to bring out your best china, linens, and get creative with florals. These days any color goes, and it is fun to look for pieces that pair together. Luckily there are so many shops both local and online that you can visit to create a specific look.

You additionally can pull existing colors from your home for inspiration. In our home we have a lot of blues, so I often choose a tablescape to compliment those tones.

Adding candles to various surfaces and on the table itself creates dimension and ambiance. I like to use two tall, elegant tapered candles to set the stage and surround the table with pretty votives. I light the long candles for the event and place electric candles in the votives.

I love adding a small gift to a tablescape to share with guests and loved ones. A pretty pair of earrings always makes for the perfect present and display. A minitaure stocking is icing on the cake!
