FINDING THE RIGHT HAIR PRODUCTS

Updated: Mar 2, 2021

They say people are more likely to confide in they hair stylist than an actual therapist! It's probably true, especially when your stylist is as incredible as mine. @Taylormoody has been caring for my hair for over two years now, and my hair has never been healthier. She educated me that by having regular trims and investing in the right hair products I would not have anymore breakage. Well, she was right and I wish it would not have taken me so long to have found her. It's the most amazing and reassuring thing ever when you find the perfect stylist whom you can trust!

@TaylorMoody

When I was younger I remember constantly trying to find a great deal on hair products. I could get away with some of the really cheap brands. Then I started coloring my hair. My hair went from oily to dry and needed therapy stat!

In college I still tried some of the less expensive brands, but I got a ton of breakage. Have you ever had your hair crack off an inch above your roots?! It's horrible! I realized then and there that my cheap shampoo and conditioner days were over. I had to get the good stuff.

My stylist directed me to Kerastase which has been a godsend for me! I can honestly say this product line is worth every penny!

One of my go-to shampoos is the Kerastase Resistance product line. I am in love with the Bain Extentioniste Shampoo which is a length strengthening wash for slow growing, damaged hair. I cannot say enough great things about it! I interchange it with the Bain Lumiere Shampoo which is perfect for blondes colored hair. It is from the Blond Absolu collection. It prides itself on intensely hydrating hair fiber, removing impurities and hair build-up for healthy hair, and it additionally illuminates naturally shiny hair.

Another product I cannot live without is also from the Kerastase Resistance product line. It is the Sérum Thérapiste Hair Serum. I use two pumps a day after I shower and then brush my hair out. I have to say I think this is one of the reasons I have had NO breakage since I began using it. It makes your hair feel so healthy.

My conditioner veers off to a different product line. Later in my life I could not find a good conditioner that worked for my dry color treated hair anywhere. I had fallen in love with one that went out of business, and one that was only made for hotels. That is when I thought back to my days of watching "Legally Blond" with Reese Witherspoon. I remembered her talking about this amazing Stylist from New York City named Frederic Fekkai who worked on her hair and color during the filming of the movie.

After reading about the different bottles of product I found the perfect one for my dry and chronically damaged hair. Frederic Fekkai Technician Color Care Conditioner is THE BEST conditioner you will ever use if you have dry hair! It is rich, buttery, and lets you easily comb through your locks with a wet brush. And drumroll please......BEST OF ALL IT'S PINK!!! Y'all know I love pink! You can buy it in two different sizes online from Ulta Beauty. The product packaging has had a makeover, and you can no longer see the creamy hair therapy inside. Trust me though, it's in there and amazing in all it's glory!

If you have to go a day without washing your tresses I highly recommend this Dry Shampoo! It even comes in a travel size, so you can hit the road with it!

For hair shedders Taylor and I recommend the Kerastase Genesis line. It's fabulous, and guess what? It comes in pretty pink packaging to match your decor! :)

Green is definitely the color this Spring, and I am so excited it it everywhere. From fashion to decor I have been seeing little pops of it all around. Check out some of these great pieces to add to your collection for this season!
